” Coach also announced a new strategy to focus on its smaller retailers. “The future of retail is about scale,” Suter said. “And we don’t have enough scale.” He said that Coach will focus on growing its best-performing small retailers.
The company said it would work to improve the way it sells merchandise through the company’s website and app. Coach’s investors weren’t the only ones in attendance. CEO John Galliano was there as well. He told Business Insider he has no plans to resign from his position.
“I have a contract until 2020,” he said.
“My contract is for 10 years and I’m committed to this company.” Galliano spoke about the company’s recent partnership with the National Football League. In September, the two companies announced they would be the official supplier of NFL apparel for the 2017 season.
